Important information
Please view the details below for contacting us and our operating hours. Appointments can also be booked through our website and via the HotDoc app.
Biomechanical Assessment
A biomechanical assessment is an in-depth examination of how your foot and lower leg works and how this may be contributing to your pain or discomfort when you walk, run or exercise. An accurate biomechanical assessment is crucial in identifying the root cause of your issue so an effective and tailored treatment plan can be put in place to get you moving pain free again.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is the technique of releasing myofascial trigger points using fine, sterile acupuncture needles that work locally and directly.
This technique has been used for centuries to relieve tension in overworked muscles, and to improve the quality of muscle tissue.
Podiatry for Children
Children are active, always on the go. Their feet are constantly growing and when you combine the growing foot and lots of activity, sometimes this can lead to pain. Many of the issues we see in our clinic are around the time children go through growth spurts, where the foot bones grow but the muscles and tendons don’t have a chance to catch up. These muscles and tendons become tight and can pull on the newly forming growth plate in their feet.
Diabetes Footcare
Early recognition of potentially serious foot health issues gives you the best chance of curing them before they become a serious problem - the earlier you find them, the better.
At Kerrin Davey Podiatry we have advanced assessment equipment to determine if you have had any of these changes. Our podiatrists are experienced in the assessment, management, education and prevention of diabetes related foot pathologies.
Diagnostic Imaging
To understand and manage your complaint effectively, you may be referred for further diagnostic studies, which may include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound and Plain X-ray. These diagnostic modalities are requested only when necessary and can greatly assist in obtaining a clear diagnosis to facilitate an effective management plan. Your management plan may include a referral to a radiologist for a therapeutic injection such as an ultrasound guided cortisone (steroid) injection.
Home Visits
A home visit booking provides foot care services in the comfort of your own home. We will assess, diagnose, and treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions, including nail care, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, and foot pain. As professionals we offer personalised treatment plans, which may include nail trimming, corn and callus removal, wound care, and orthotic device prescriptions.
